What our families say about us

'DUBLIN STEINER SCHOOL CHANGED OUR LIVES'

— NIAMH, SCHOOL PARENT

Dublin Steiner School is a nurturing place for children to really be themselves. The staff and teachers are so motivated to help the children develop a natural love of learning.

This has had a huge impact for our children. My daughter was almost non verbal when she entered the school in 3rd class. She is leaving this year at age 12 a very different child - she is very confident and can hold any situation.

Since our children started attending the school, the world has become an exciting place for them. They’re interested in and curious about all kinds of different subjects. It’s like their minds have been opened up in a beautiful way.

What would I tell others about the school? Where do I begin - it’s what you’d expect a school to be like. It’s what every parent would dream of, for their children to be educated here. It’s magical. Dublin Steiner School changed our lives.

'my children have experienced wonder and magic... a true love of learning'

— LAURA, SCHOOL PARENT

Education at Dublin Steiner School isn’t just knowledge. My children are also taught life skills and social skills, how to trust themselves, express how they feel, have personal boundaries, acknowledging what’s beautiful in the world, how to protect nature and the people around them. All while figuring out what strengths and talents they have.

Both my children have experienced wonder and magic, a true love of learning. I have watched them advance naturally in their own time and space. They have no fear of learning, just curiosity.

The respect our children get and how their voices are heard sets our school apart from others. The way they get to experience their lessons rather than just be ‘spoken at’. They get a voice that is listened to, which they learn to use for themselves AND for others.

'WE HAVE SEEN OUR CHILD GROW INTO THE PERSON SHE IS MEANT TO BE IN THIS WORLD'

— NINA, SCHOOL PARENT

We have seen our child grow into the person she is meant to be in this world. And be supported in these steps she is taking, with good guidance.

She has seen so much nourishment on many levels. The connection with nature, the friendships, making and sharing food. Having her space to grow in her own individual way within a group setting outside her home. Being seen by her different teachers, and their sharing with us as parents. It has been incredible.

Really it is the school community which sets Dublin Steiner School apart. It is warm and welcoming and the smaller numbers offer you the chance to meet everyone as well as getting to know the teachers. It is a place where children are seen as a whole, with their unique and individual personalities, needs and gifts.
