Rocio has over 10 years experience working with children in a variety of different environments. She is originally from Spain, where she worked in a primary school as a theatre and art teacher, in addition to assisting children with additional needs.

She settled in Ireland in 2012 and joined the teaching staff of the Dublin Steiner School in 2018. She feels very fortunate to call it her home and learn from the amazing children. Rocio has always had a passion for sewing, which led her to study fashion and costume design. After studying textile printing in National College of Art and Design, she set up a small business selling handmade printed clothing, accessories and wares.

She has also been integral in the arts and crafts of the school itself, even handcrafting the primary classes’ beautiful cloth crayon rolls. Rocio became a mother in 2020 and really enjoys motherhood and all that comes with it. She also enjoys being outdoors, cycling, hiking, cooking and pottery.
