Olivia has more than 10 years of experience in various Waldorf and forest school settings, both in the United States and Ireland. Olivia is a co-founder of the IWEA, the Irish Waldorf Education Association, creating a nationwide community of Waldorf educators and communities in Ireland.
Originally from New York, Olivia trained and worked as a forest school teacher with Brooklyn Forest, where she led Waldorf inspired forest school classes in Prospect Park, Brooklyn and Central Park, Manhattan.
After moving to Dublin in 2015 with her husband and daughter, Olivia joined Dublin Steiner School’s Board of Directors in 2017 and was instrumental in the foundation of the Primary School, with a focus on enrolments and administration. In 2019 Olivia stepped down from the Board of Directors to take the role of HR, Administration and Enrolments Manager.
The growth of the school since 2017 has been a source of joy and fulfilment, with the wonderful bonus of watching her own daughter thrive in the environment and grow up with the school’s first graduating class. Progressing on to the Head of School role in September 2023 brings even further excitement in leading the school's growth into the future.
