Noah has been Dublin Steiner School's Irish language teacher since 2022. Together with Olivia and Margarita he has created a bespoke Irish curriculum for the school, which meets the rubrics and standards of the national Irish language curriculum through the experiential approach of the Waldorf ethos.
Having attended gaelscoil and gaelcholáiste in Dublin since childhood, Noah had an affinity to the language from a young age. Through his engagement with the language Noah has taken this approach into his Irish teaching. He loves to incorporate cultural and historical elements into his teaching, as well as poetry, prose, craft, song and dance, effectively sharing his experience of the language as a gateway to the culture. For the reasons mentioned, the school has been such a good fit for Noah's preferred approach to the language. The art-led and humanist sensibility preferred by Waldorf schools lets him leverage all the wonders of Gaelic heritage and this engages pupils of all ages.
In addition to his work with Dublin Steiner School, Noah is currently lecturing Irish language at Dublin City University. He has project-managed at UCD, assisted research at Trinity College Dublin, taught and even role-played Irish language court cases with the Law Society of Ireland! He has also collaborated with artists on Irish short films, presented at conferences and translated various works.
