Originally from Iceland, Hélène has always been passionate about nurturing children’s creativity and supporting their holistic development. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kindergarten Teaching from the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Inclusive and Special Education at the University of Iceland, set to finish in spring 2025.
Hélène has gained broad experience in early childhood education through her work in Waldorf kindergartens in Iceland and France, where she served as a department manager and teacher for children aged 3–6 years. She led outdoor programs, collaborated with parents and schools, and enhanced outdoor learning environments. In Vienna, she worked in a Montessori- and Pikler-inspired bilingual kindergarten, creating individual learning plans, particularly for autistic children, and fostering a culture of inclusion and collaboration among staff. In her free time, Hélène enjoys hiking, reading, crocheting, and wood carving. She brings her playful joy of life and love for creativity into her work, creating warm and engaging learning environment for children. Fluent in Icelandic, Norwegian, English, and French, she thrives in diverse and multicultural settings.
